Chef Ivy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) strives to deliver exceptional culinary services. To protect both our clients and the business, we have established the following refund terms. By purchasing any service from Chef Ivy, you agree to this policy in full.
General Terms

All requests for refunds or credits must be submitted in writing to support@thatsfyechicago.com within the time frames specified below.

Refunds are issued at our discretion and, where provided, will be processed within 14 business days of approval.

We reserve the right to deny or partially fulfill any refund request if we determine that services were largely rendered as agreed.
48-Hour Meal Orders

Cancellations & Refunds: Orders must be cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup time to receive a full refund.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made fewer than 48 hours in advance are not eligible for a refund. We may, however, offer a credit (minus a 20% service fee) toward a future order.

Incorrect or Damaged Orders: If your meal arrives damaged or is incorrect, notify us within 2 hours of delivery for a replacement or full refund.
Subscription Services

Free Trial Period: If you sign up for a trial week, you may cancel before the second week’s billing date to avoid any charges.

Standard Subscriptions: To qualify for a partial refund, cancellation requests must be received at least 7 days before your next billing cycle. If you cancel with fewer than 7 days’ notice, you will remain responsible for that upcoming week’s charge but will not be billed thereafter.

Service Disruption: In rare cases where we cannot fulfill a scheduled delivery, you will receive either a full refund for that delivery or a credit toward a future week.
Meal Planning Packages

One-Time Plans: Full refunds are available if cancelled within 24 hours of purchase and before any planning work has commenced.

Custom Plans: Once we begin tailoring your menu (e.g., researching preferences, drafting recipes), packages are non-refundable. We may, at our discretion, offer a credit equal to 50% of the purchase price toward another planning service.
Private Chef Experiences (Airbnb & Events)

Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (typically 50% of the total fee) is required to secure your date.

Final Payment: Due 14 days before your event. No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of the event.

Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule and provide at least 14 days’ notice, your deposit may be applied to a new date (subject to availability). Reschedules fewer than 14 days before the event will forfeit the deposit.
Non-Refundable Items

Gift cards, digital cookbooks, and merchandise are final sale and not eligible for refunds.

Any promotional or discounted package explicitly marked as “non-refundable” at the time of purchase.
How to Request a Refund or Credit

Include your name, service type, date of purchase, and reason for refund.

Allow up to 14 business days for us to review and respond.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
